Full Description

This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the calculation of the economic level of leakage (ELL). The IWA Water Loss Task Force(WLTF) has had an objective of developing quickpractical methods of determining SRELL since1991, but encounteredtwo barriers to achieving this:the United Kingdom methods are data intensive and cannot be usedif there are no DMAs andif there are seasonal variations in night use; and, absence of a methodology for allowing forinfluence of pressure on the short-run economic level of leakage (SRELL)due to reduction in breaks. Three methodological solutions are presented, along with ELLCalcs models that were incorporated into the LEAKSSuiteELLCalcs module. Includes tables, figures.
