This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Ground Water Rule and disinfection and differing state implementation plans. Criteria for achieving 4-log disinfection credit with chlorine is provided, along with establishing CT zones. The Eagle River Water and Sanitation District (ERWSD) in Vail, Colorado, is presented as an example of having the typical disinfection CT difficulties that can occur in a groundwater (GW) system, along with operational factors that impact contact zones. Retrofit options for CT time are presented for the centralized facility, pressure vessels, and pipe contactors.
