View Sample Alloy Digest Data Sheet (PDF)
Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.
ACI Type HN is an iron-chromium-nickel alloy containing sufficient chromium for good high-temperature corrosion resistance and with nickel content in excess of the chromium. This alloy has properties somewhat similar to the more widely used ACI Type HT alloy but with better ductility. Type HN is used for highly stressed components in the 1800-2000 F temperature range. In several specialized applications, notably brazing fixtures, it has given satisfactory service at temperatures of 2000 to 2100 F. It is used in the aircraft, automotive, petroleum, petrochemical and power industries for a wide range of components and parts.
