This Practice provides guidelines and other tutorial information for designing fiberglass tanks and vessels in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section X Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Pressure Vessels or ASME/ANSI RTP-1 Reinforced Thermoset Plastic (RTP) Corrosion Resistant Equipment.

This Practice describes the design criteria and fiberglass construction methods permitted in ASME/ANSI RTP-1 and Code Section X for fiberglass tanks and vessels. This Practice provides guidance regarding the applications of fiberglass resins and corrosion veil materials and the associated cure systems.
