Full Description

A wide range of matrices and liquid compounds found in water and wastewater have traditionally been problematic for Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analyzers using UV/persulfate, combustion, and membrane conductivity methods because of interference. A recent optimization of the UV/persulfate method has made great advancements in the ability to perform TOC analysis on historically difficult liquid matrices. A new analytical instrument has been created which has the ability to automatically add differing amounts of reagents, sample, and diluent to the sample for optimal oxidation of a wide range of matrices that could be found in water and wastewater samples such as: caustics, tannic acids, bauxite/alumina process liquor effluents, and others.
