This powerpoint presentation begins by providing an overview of the St. Johns Water Management District in Florida, and presents its Core Water Supply Mission of implementing a regional strategy to providesufficient water for users and the environment by:District Water Supply Planning;Water Resource Development Projects;Water Supply Development Assistancethrough WPSP; and,Consumptive Use Permitting Initiatives. The presentation provides maps of Florida relating to the following topics: RegionalGroundwaterModel Boundaries; ProjectedChanges in thePotentiometricSurface of theFloridan Aquifer1995-2025; ProjectedChanges inSurficial AquiferWater Levels1995-2025; Likelihoodof HarmtoVegetation; Priority WaterResource CautionAreas; and, CentralFloridaCoordinationArea. The Central Florida CoordinationArea Action Plan is presented and includes:three WMDs developed "Central FloridaCoordination Area (CFCA) Action Plan";three components ofregulatory, planning, and modeling and predictive tools.The initial scope included the public water supply. The CFCA action plan for both short and long-term goals are presented, along with short term key concepts in currentrulemaking, key aspects of permittingthat remain unchanged, longer term (2006 to 2010) keyconcepts, modeling and toolsaction plan, rule amendment concepts tosupport short-term regulatorycomponent, and rulemaking schedule.
