Full Description

This powerpoint presentation begins by presenting a chloride to sulfate mass ratio (CSMR) sample calculation, along with causes of concern - high CSMR, and origin of effect - galvanic corrosion. Three case studies are presented in North Carolina, California, and Maine, that studied the causes and resolution of lead leaching issues. Protocol included changing water twice a week using the dump-and-fill method and collected as weekly composite samples, which were then analyzed for lead (and other metals) as well as Clsup-/sup and SOsub4/subsup2-/sup. Includes tables, figures.
