An example of conservation pricing at Aurora Water (Aurora, Colorado) is provided, along with reasons why it failed, and non-uniform residential rates. Presentation summary includes: over the top - all customers expect some level of fairness and equity; limits - risk of failure increases as rates depart from cost of service; and, pitfalls - looking aggressive and being aggressive are two different things.
