This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and the sources of water for southern California. Metropolitan's three-tired climate change adaptation strategy is presented and includes: knowledge sharingand research support; quantification ofcurrent research; and,implementation ofPrograms/Policies. Specific aspects of the strategy highlighted in the presentation include: collaboration withother water utilities - Water Utility Climate Alliance(WUCA); internal planninganalyses, studies; greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation anddecreasing energy useand increasedefficiency; Integrated WaterResource Plan; incorporating climate change uncertainty into IRP planning; and, IRP decision support method.
