This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the resiliency problem that consists of:rural communities and small cities thatlack resiliency are susceptible to threatsand catastrophic events, impactingresponse and recovery with potentiallysevere local, regional and nationalconsequences. The Resilient Communities Initiative (RCI) is presented as:providing multi-disciplinary strategy to address the multi-sector issues faced by the small community;a focal point for small and medium sized community resiliency expertise, research and services;promoting positive emergency response and economic viability planning;creating a collaborative creative climate of academic and applied research; and, recognizing importance of socio-economic, physical, institutional-governmental systems. Part 2 presents theCorridor H Transportation Analysis andNCR Western Route Evacuation Scenarios. Part 3 presents theCommunity Outreachand Technical Assistance Program(COTAP), and Part 4 presents theAction Plan for Continuous Improvement.
