This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the New Jersey Water Supply Authority (NJWSA) and the Manasquan Water Treatment Plant and infrastructure. The Asset ManagementPlanImplementationCase Study is presented, and had the following objectives: evaluate condition, criticality, and remaininguseful life of major plant assets;collect and analyze key asset attribute data includingmanufacturer, model, years in service, remaininguseful life, etc.;assess future regulatory needs and issues;identify major capital projects required over the next20 years to meet expected service level, risk, and/orregulatory requirements;short-term needs and long term R and,develop a 20 year financial analysis and expenditureforecast. NJWSA used a step process todevelop the asset management plan that used the principles of asset management. Topics covered include: A Formal Condition Assessment MethodologySupported the AMP Development; Project Priority was determined byEvaluating Criticality and Condition; the AMP Outcome Aligned with NJWSA'sGoal of Sustainability and Long Term Planning; Near Term Enhancement Projects were theLargest Driver of Financial Requirements; instrumentation and control enhancement projects; Sludge Lagoons and RecycleSystem Enhancement Project; the CIP Highlighted FinancialImplications for the Communities Served; alternative funding options; and, Future Implementation Considerationsfor NJWSA.
