This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Water Security Initiative andContamination Warning Systems (CWS). An overview of the Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW) Full Scale Exercise is presented and includes: a scenario-driven, real-time simulation thatimplemented GCWW and local response partneragency protocols for detecting and responding to adrinking water contamination incident; over 50 people from ten different agenciesparticipated in this large scale exercise. The purpose of the exercise was to allow GCWW andresponse partner agencies to test their protocols fordetecting and responding to a possible drinking watercontamination incident. Full scale exercise outcomes are presented for component operations, field operations, ICS functions, and crisis communications.
