This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of study objectives that included: anticipate potential changes of wateravailability and water quality at theprincipal intake of the City ofMontreal (650 MGD) located in theSt. Lawrence River; and,assess potential impacts on thedesign/performance of theDesBaillets/Atwater water treatmentplants, the two largest facilitiessupplying the City of Montreal. The impacts of climate change and consequences for the water treatment plant (WTP) design on water quality are presented, along with treatment objectives including: reduce the microbiologicalrisk; reduce the chemical risk; and, aesthetics.
