This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of World Water Corps (WWC), and a water quality study in Potrerillos, Honduras. Project background includes: Water For People (WFP) funded the drilling of a well in 2006 to help themunicipality meet the water demand of a growing population; a water sample was analyzed upon completion of the well,indicating the presence of 51 ppb arsenic, exceeding theHonduran standard of 10 ppb; municipality requested assistance from WFP-Honduras, and WFP-Honduras requested a WWC team to evaluate waterquality and make recommendations. Coordination of activities is presented, along with objectives of the site visit, utilization of resources, proposed regional water system, objectives of the March 2009 site visit, water sources, the Rio Ulua, role of water conservation, and goals of the study.
