This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of Elmendorf Air Force Base, located in Alaska, north of Anchorage, and problems and issues with its water system that include customer complaints, harsh winters, seismic activity, costly breaks and leaks, and the impracticality of the open cut method. Pipe design is presented, along with AWWA liner classification, liner thickness design, and Class IV CIPP. A project is presented of the structural rehabilitation of 3460 feet of 6inch diameter transite and cast iron water mains at Elmendorf Air Force Base, including: project title"Replace Water Line FOCO Housing on Luke Ave,McGuire Ave, Mundy Ave, and 15th Street"; installation of temporary by-pass; excavating access pits; pipe cleaning; CCTV inspection and plugging; liner installation; pressure test; reinstatement of service connections; and, benefits to Elmendorf Air Force Base.
