This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the StrategicManagement andAvailableResources andTechnology (SMART) program. The SMART goal,program concepts andoutcomes include:a National Environmental Service Center (NESC) and Rural Community Assistance Program (RCAP) partnered, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA)funded 18 monthprogram using socialmarketing techniques toinvigorate small communityaudience participation in thedevelopment of wastewatermanagement-focused sourcewater and wellheadprotection plans. The overriding principles in SMART are presented, along with the primary goal and objectives of the USEPA grant requirements, strategies forimplementing SMART and expected outcomes, training strategy and topics, technical assistance, RCAP Activities and Deliverables, SMART Trailblazer Communities, training evaluation information, interview themes, evaluation component, lessons learned and next steps.
